Business problem

The client is a leading provider of analytical devices used in the diagnostics laboratories by pathologists. In partnership with leading pharmaceutical companies, the client had launched various companion diagnostic solutions

• Educating pathologists about the various companion diagnostics solutions, their application, and scoring mechanisms to ensure the accurate identification of the patient for the drug treatment plan​

• Pathologists apply their skills while looking at the tissue samples under a microscope, hence developing a learning solution that would give them a similar experience​

• Images of stained tissue samples are multiple GBs in size and are a critical component of the learning so developing a digital learning platform that could provide secured access to pathologists around the world and allow management and viewing of very large image sizes​

• The pathologists require the controls that they have in a microscope and have the ability to annotate the images, get evaluated, and also share with others for collaboration and feedback

Solution

• Focusing on human-centered design, the UX and UI of the solution were developed to match the learning journey of a pathologist​

• Digital platform was designed for the cloud to allow processing and management of large WSI images and to address data privacy and security requirements​

• The digital platform had the capability to host SCORM-compliant learning content, create suitable learning journeys, and manage the certification requirements​

• Intuitive web experience similar to a microscope with digital annotations, evaluations, and sharing was developed to accelerate adoption, learning and motivate continuous engagement​

• Data of all interactions in the platform was captured accurately for analysis
